Here's a short interview for you with questions formulated by riders from Puerto Rico-
(traducción al español abajo)

About your Signature frame:
How does the longer tt feels?

I really love it and I can't see myself ever riding under 19" again.

Is it practical for you to have the double top tubes?

I don't know, it's just Rad looking.
How does it feel to know (and see) other riders busting out on your signature frame?

It's an honor that anyone would ride it. I am humbled.
What was the process of having this frame go into production?

Alex wanted to do something special so we talked about a few things and bam here it is.
Did you choose the color?

Yes, I love white and there is too many dang black bikes out there.

Are you gonna do double decades on your new bike?

I wish but I retired from back wheel, you didn't get the memo? Haha

Who would you recommend the Voodoo frame to ?

Anyone that wants a good fun ride. It's got good style and feel to it.

Why you don't run zero offset forks?

Because I just can't. I love the feeling when my forks are backwards and I also love the space when they are regular.

What do you think of the headtube engraved image and the decals?

Honestly it's the dopest thing. You have your own number engraved its your bike and your personal number. Collectors item.

Is the Voodoo frame the coolest twin top tubes frames ever?

Uh yeah of course!

About riding in general:

What motives you to keep riding?
Progression, artistic side of riding, mental and physical fitness.

You seem more active now as a rider than a few years ago, any special reasons?
I took sometime away from riding to focus on other things in life. It helped my mind to clear and come back focused. I feel like I am pushing myself the older I get. I want to get as much out of riding possible. Mentally and physically the older I get.

What's your best/favorite trick (that you can pull)?

I like the feeling of being able to just pull tricks like I do. Sometimes I look around and there is a dude same age as me that would never think he could ride like this. Basically being on my bike at 40yrs old and pushing myself is my favorite trick.

Do you set yourself goals in your riding? Anything you are working one right now?
Yes I always try to maintain what I have and I am always looking to progress it.
I am working on some new combos to add to my things now.

How do you find time to ride hard with all your responsabilities (family, work, kids sports)?
I just accept what I can do and when I do ride I really don't waste time. I take full advantage. I also try to ride in the mornings a lot this way I have family time in the evening.

Are you going to enter contests again in the future?
Yes that is my plan, it has been since 2007 I think. I would like to again someday.

 About Voodoo Jam:

What do you think about the huge turnout and support that 2013 Voodoo Jam had?
It's amazing. I honored and excited that Flatland riders are taking ownership of this contest.

What do you enjoy the most about organizing Voodoo?
Riders coming together.

What's the most disgusting aspect of running the contest?
Staying on schedule.

Are there gonna be actual trophies for the Vet Class in the future? hahaha
Now that you asked. Lets do it next year!

Which riders impressed you the most in the last Voodoo?
Um wow. Tsutomu of course. Ucchie pulling Bike Flip. Hiro the great as always. Balu is incredible. Alex killed it.
Gonzalo from Argentina keep your eye on him. William Perez young gun from Peru. Moto qualifying run, wow! Japan youth group qualifiers was the best. Aaron Frost killed it as well. But honest all the guys are awesome and I could list something great about them all.

Are there any changes you'd like to make to the contest in the future?
I already have! Haha that's how I roll.

¿Has elegido el color?

¿Qué te motiva a seguir haciendo flatland?

Me gustaría volver algún día.
